From the west Side of Gastonia:

Take 321 north. Go past Dallas until you come to the HARDIN ROAD EXIT. Exit
at Hardin road and turn right at top of ramp.

Go through Harden. You will go between two churches and then cross a bridge
over the South Fork River. Just after the bridge is a road on the right
that goes our to an old mill located on the river.

The second road on the right after crossing the river is 'FANCY HILL ROAD'.
Turn right on to Fancy Hill. Follow this road until you come to a stop
sign. (I think it's between 1/4 and 1/2 mile after you cross the bridge -
it's not far)

At the stop sign there is a an old 'run-down' white church bldg on the
left. Turn left at this stop sign and then immediately turn back to the
right. You barely have room to straighten out. This is almost a cross road
but they missed by a few feet. Your are now on Alexis-High Shoals road.
Stay on this road until you cross a railroad and come to a traffic light.
This is Alexis.

Turn left at the light on to NC HWY 27. 1/2 mile from there is the county
line sign on the left hand side of the road that says "LEAVING GASTON
CO./ENTERING LINCOLN CO." Just past this sign are two paved driveways on
the right hand side of 27. The second one is 'AL HAGER LANE'. There is a
big sign Saying 'TRI-COUNTY ANIMAL RESCUE'. Turn righ on to AL HAGER.
We are on right above and behind the small gray house.

From east side of Gastonia take New Hope Road to first traffic light in
Dallas. (CVS on corner.)

Turn right on to Dallas-Stanley Hwy (NC-275).

Follow 275 all the way in to Stanley. Go through two traffic lights that
are about 100' apart. Go around sharp left hand curve into 'downtown'
Stanley.

After sharp curve come to traffic light at fairly big intersection. Turn
right across railroad tracks and immediately left on to NC HWY 27 toward
Lincolnton.

1.5 miles from here you go through another traffic light at a t-bone
intersection. Old abandoned car lot on left. Stay straight on 27.

2.5 miles from this light you come to another traffic light at a cross
road. This is Alexis. There is a volunteer fire dept on the left. A post
office and Phillips 66 country store on right. (All before the light).
Stay straight on 27 through this light too.

1/2 mile past traffic light in Alexis the county line sign that says 'LEAVING GASTON CO./ENTERING LINCOLN CO.is on the left side of 27. Just past this sign are two paved driveways on the other (right hand) side of 27.The second driveway is 'AL HAGER LANE.' There is a big sign for TRI-COUNY ANIMAL RESCUE.Turn right on to AL HAGER. We are on right above and behind small gray house.
